Data Availability Statements

IJVCDC is committed to the principles of transparency, reproducibility, and accountability in scientific research. We encourage authors to make their research data available to support their findings and facilitate further research in the field.

1. Data Sharing Policy
Authors are encouraged to share the data that support the findings of their published articles, including raw data, processed data, and any other material that is essential for the verification of the results. This can include:

  • Datasets, models, and algorithms used in the study

  • Source code or software used for data analysis

  • Supplementary materials (e.g., tables, figures, and appendices)

  • Survey instruments, protocols, or other relevant resources

2. Data Availability Statement in Manuscripts
All manuscripts submitted to IJVCDC must include a statement regarding the availability of data. Authors should indicate whether data are publicly available, under a restricted access policy, or not available. The statement must include:

  • A description of where the data can be accessed (e.g., a public repository, a database, or the author’s institutional website)

  • Any applicable restrictions to access (e.g., privacy, confidentiality, or proprietary concerns)

If data are not available, authors should provide a clear justification for why this is the case.

3. Data Repositories
For data sharing, IJVCDC encourages authors to use recognized public data repositories, such as:

  • Dryad

  • Figshare

  • Open Science Framework (OSF)

  • Zenodo

Data repositories must comply with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

4. Ethical Considerations
When sharing data, authors must adhere to ethical guidelines, including:

  • Respecting confidentiality and privacy agreements

  • Protecting sensitive information, including personal data

  • Obtaining necessary consent for data sharing, where applicable

5. Editorial Oversight
The editorial team will ensure that the data sharing policy is adhered to and may request supplementary data or explanations if necessary. Failure to adhere to the data availability policy may affect the acceptance of the manuscript.

IJVCDC is committed to promoting open science practices and ensuring that data are shared and available for further scientific exploration, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
